A 98-year-old woman is the latest victim of a rising tide of crime against the disabled after thieves stole her two mobility scooters.

The pensioner had her vehicles snatched from a communal garage at her apartment block in Norwich in the latest in a spate of thefts of similar vehicles last month.

At Move Mobility we are always one step ahead of the game when it comes to security.

Many of our scooters are easy to manoeuvre and can be stored indoors in the house or a locked garage or shed but if you are buying one of the bigger road-worthy types, you may want to look at ways of making it more secure.

If you are buying a scooter from us why not enquire about our great rates of insurance for your vehicle.

We can also advise too on CCTV security systems to protect your home and your property – ask your mobility consultant for details.

It is also worth registering your vehicle on the National Mobility Insurance Register. This may not stop your scooter being stolen but if it is recovered, as many often are, it can be reunited with you.

If you are looking at an option for when you park it, perhaps during a trip around a store or your local library, check out the range of wheel clamps available online from as little as £20.
